I am a graduating Masters student from NC State University’s Master of Geospatial Information Science and Technology (MGIST) program. In 2019, I received my bachelors in Economics from William & Mary.
For the past seven years, I’ve worked at RTI International as a spatial epidemiologist. I use interdisciplinary quantitative and geospatial methods to develop, implement, and lead research at the intersection of geography, economics, and public health. In 2022, I received my Graduate Certificate in Geographic Information Systems from NC State.
I have extensive experience conducting research focused on public health intervention outcome evaluations, tobacco sales surveillance, and tobacco use and cessation patterns. I also conducts interdisciplinary quantitative aspatial and spatial analysis related to opioid use and mortality, social determinants of health, and the built environment.
My prior experience includes econometric analysis and presentation of research related to food systems, and international health aid distribution. I enjoy learning new skills related to quantitative data analysis, data management, and geographic information systems (GIS). My research interests include health disparities and the interdisciplinary application of economics and health geography.
